1. Dumoine Valley Guides lodge
The lodge has been in operation since 1987 and offers fun filled outdoor activities like; canoeing on lakes and white-water rivers, snowmobiling and all-terrain vehicles (ATV), hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoe trails, bird watching and wildlife observation. All that in a pristine environment that will take your breath away.
2. Upper town marina
This small marina offers a large boat launch and two floating docks for fishing. This location also gives a view to the local hydroelectric dam.
3. Dumoine ZEC station
Looking to do some hunting and fishing in the Dumoine ZEC territory? This is your location for any permits you might need.
4. Lower town marina
Here you will find the main town docks and boat launch with close proximity to the gas station. With great fishing and a clear view to the bald eagle sanctuary across the river, you never know what you will see.
5. Rapides des Joachims ZEC station
Here you will find the entrance to the Rapides ZEC territory, your gateway to a great adventure in this great wilderness.
6. The Chutes
One of the worst kept secrets in the area, in the summer this creek offers some very exciting swimming fun with safe moving waters, a small water fall and warm bedrock to help you relax. Winter on the other hand gives you a great view on some fantastic ice formations as the creek never fully freezes.
7. Mcconnell Beach
The largest beach on the island of Rapides des Joachims, with warm water for swimming, fishing or water sports, bring your beach towel or fishing rod and have fun.
8. Penniseault creek
The ultimate place for a picnic! Large bedrock stones and quartz formations this place is an impressive blend of stones and water especially if the sun is in the right location in the sky. Bring some food and enjoy your time in the sun.
9. Town of Deep River (not pictured)
Need access to a grocery store and other supplies? From big box stores to small local shops, the municipality of Deep River is a lovely place to visit. With a public pool, skating rinks, a marina and a variety of parks, this small town has a lot to offer only 25 minute drive from our location via highway 17.

The island features approximately 22 km of high quality hiking trails, bring your mountain bike and your camera and spend some time soaking in this pristine nature.
